Waco needs more of this. Small-ish restaurant with excellent food at a moderate price, in a non-hole-in-the-wall setting. I returned last night for the first time in 8 years (having just recently moved back to Waco) and the wings and fries were even better than I remembered. We shared 4 different flavors and all were excellent, particularly the Louisiana Rub. They take a little while to come out (10-15 minutes) but if that means we're getting something made-to-order rather than having been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour, I'm all for it. And with a couple of TVs to watch the game and draft beers at $2.50 or $3.00, you won't notice the wait time.

    FOOD: Excellent; perfectly cooked wings
    SERVICE: Friendly, attentive, fast enough
AMBIANCE: You can tell they actually care about what their store looks & feels like. Very refreshing in comparison to a lot of the "card tables and folding chairs" setups in Waco
VALUE: 9 out of 10. $3 Shiner draft is hard to beat.

    We'll be back soon.

I have pretty mixed experiences with the wings each time I'm here, but the fries are consistent if that's any consolation. I would HIGHLY recommend that you call in your order and come in to pick it up because you will be waiting for quite a while otherwise. Wait times are pretty consistently long af. The tables are relatively clean, but I think that was due to the lack of people dining in. There are two very different sized TVs, but only the tiny one was working. This is kinda unacceptable for a wing place to not have functional TVs, you think? Also the small TV had the score of the basketball game cut off, so it's no wonder people don't stay to eat here.

Also there seems to be a difference in taste between their bone-in and boneless wings. I know 60 cent boneless wings on Mondays and Tuesdays are busy days and are an amazing deal, but that's no excuse to slack off on the quality of the seasoning. I always order the garlic parm bone-in wings and love them, but the boneless ones lacked any taste of garlic and there was soo much breading on the chicken that made them too salty to appreciate.

I called in an order and the young lady taking the order asked "number?" To which I replied "phone number?" To which she responded "let me ask you, like, what other number would it be, like? Cus I had other people ask the same thing..."

I got her name and manager info cus I was hangry but decided to drive all the way to the Wingstop on New road instead of complaining. I now drive 5 miles to New road for my wing fix, this location is walking distance to my apartment.

I hope she gets several paper cuts this year, and I hope she gets atomic sauce in the paper cuts throughout her greasy days. Amen.

Wow! I'm appalled when I experience TERRIBLE customer service! Given this is the only decent wing place downtown, they've had my business for 4 years. Not after this encounter: scenario "Call-in-order: phone 3 minutes of ringing "Hello, can you hold" [sure] "ughhhh", muted. Order taken, disclaimer "the wait will be 12-18 min". Call placed, 1830, arrival 1845. "Sir, our computers went down and we lost your order." [Okay ma'am, no issues] "well, you know it's going to be 18-22 min now" [ill wait. One question, how did you lose a call in order? Did you not receive the order on a phone and write it down? Why wouldn't you just turn around and tell the cook?]  "everything goes through our computer, however our systems are down?!!" Requested to speak to GM.

Literally 1 star for bogus customer service. It seemed like manager was on a power trip and predecided who she liked and didn't like. I ordered on the phone and had a email copy of a coupon for free wings, not once did they tell me to print out the coupon. The email doesn't even say that! So once I get there she just shuts me down and says I need it printed and so because I brought cash, I had to cancel my fries. Then they just throw away the order of fries. This may seem petty, but I've been to far better wing stops with better service and no one should treat people like that and if they need printed coupons then they should state that. Definitely going to the other Baylor location next time.
